USask Suppliers and Contractors
In my role as a User Experience Content Coordinator at the University of Saskatchewan, I worked closely with the Procurement team to enhance the Suppliers and Contractors website. This included improving the user experience by optimizing the information architecture for better usability and accessibility.
Goal
Revamp and streamline the content organization and labeling to ensure that individuals conducting business with USask can swiftly and effortlessly locate the necessary resources.
Design Process
To begin, I participated in stakeholder interviews to discuss their experiences with the website, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. I then collaborated with the procurement services team and other stakeholders involved with the suppliers’ website to brainstorm solutions to the issues raised during the user research phase. Once these discussions were complete, I created a draft of the supplier’s website on a testing platform. I iterated the design based on feedback until we arrived at a mutually agreeable design. After the website launch, I refined the design based on ongoing feedback and new insights.
Implementation
The website was built using the web content management system (WCMS) Cascade CMS.
